Ruby Loves is a monthly crafts magazine for girls aged 8-12
DC Thomson tasked us with creating a TV ad to support the launch, raising awareness amongst girls and their Mums (aunties, grannies, big sisters and so on) and communicating its unique format. All of this on a very limited budget.
A stop-frame animation approach provided a quirky, cost-effective solution which continued to run on kids’ TV channels well beyond launch. Amelia (the daughter of Jump Founder & MD Ann features in the ad and says she still gets younger school mates saying they’ve seen her on TV, demonstrating the strength of the work’s reach and recall).Share on Twitter
